The Motutapu Home Bay toilet block and southern end of the campsite are roped off/closed due to a heightened risk of shallow landslides or rockfall. The rest of the campground and several norski toilets remain open. These pose a lower risk as they are further away from the base of the hill. This is a long-term alert.

The northern end of the Motuora Campsite is closed to reduce risk to visitors. This area has been roped off and has signage posted. Located close to the base of hills, it faces a heightened risk of shallow landslides or rockfall. The rest of the campground (area between the lamp post and open drain) and toilet block remain open. They are lower risk due to their location further away from the base of the hill.

Motuora Bach is closed until further notice as we assess risks around land instability.
