Mapara Track partial closure

Half of the Mapara Track is closed due to cyclone damage The full loop cannot be completed. The closed section of track is approximately 1,100 metres from the entry point on Mapara South Road. It is located up the left hand side track. It is not safe to cross the eroded section. This is a long term alert. First published on 11 May 2022. Last reviewed on 2 March 2026.
