Robinson River Route damaged
Severe weather events have badly damaged the Robinson River Route. There are slips, uprooted trees and two destroyed bridges. One 500 m below Top Robinson Hut and the second is just south of Mid Robinson Hut. Access is difficult and only possible when river levels are low. Steep gravel banks and off-track river travel require good navigation skills. This track is only suitable for experienced trampers.
