Paparoa Track Great Walk is closed between Ces Clark Hut and Pororari Hut from 3 pm to 8 pm on Monday 13 July 2026 due to high winds exceeding our safety threshold. Track users should be prepared with adequate clothing and equipment for the wet wintery weather conditions and adjust departure times or delay travel if necessary to ensure they are in shelter during this time, or allow time to turn back or hunker down at a hut if needed.
