Cape Brett Track alignment changed

The new alignment requires walking directly over the hill from the Rawhiti Road entrance then down the steps onto Oke Bay Beach. Follow the beach south-east to the far end and walk up the rocks toward the track entrance sign. Navigational Hiking apps may not be up to date with this recent alignment change. Take extra care to ensure that you are not trespassing on privately owned land. Check the Know before you go section for safety information regarding tides and sea conditions on the Oke Bay Beach section of the track. First published on 28 January 2026.
