There may be toxic carcasses in the area, which can take months to break down. There may also be leftover toxic bait in the form of green-coloured pellets. Kirkliston Range Conservation Area will remain open but do not take or eat animals from this area until it is deemed safe. This will be indicated by the removal of warning signs, this alert, and updates in the Pesticide Summary map. This is operation is part of the National Wallaby Eradication Programme.
