Road closures on SH38 March to June 2026

State Highway 38 between Lake Waikaremoana Holiday Park and Tuai will be closed during the day for road repairs from Monday 2 March 2026 until Friday 5 June 2026. The road will be closed from 8 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 5 pm each day, Monday to Saturday (six days each week) excluding public holidays. The road will open from 12 pm – 1 pm each day so traffic can pass through and will be fully open on Sundays. During the closures there will be no viable detours, so plan ahead.
